Description
This popular 6-drawer dresser is specifically designed to fit smaller room sizes and give you the style of a traditional 6-drawer dresser in a compact footprint. It features six spacious drawers that run on smooth, all-metal roller glides with built-in safety stops. Other highlights include dark pewter finished solid metal knobs, a profiled top, side moldings and an arched kick plate. As a higher quality ready-to-assemble product, it is made from durable composite woods, and unlike other RTA furniture, has no plastic edge banding.

I bought this for my daughters new room and it’s great. I saw someone say that the drawers were crooked in a different review and I initially made that same mistake; just need to assembleIt correctly based on color coded drawer insert. Good quality for the price.smaller than expected but OKNot super easy to assemble but fairly sturdy and works great for the nursery!I followed step by step while putting this dresser together and I did it all by myself. Took a good amount of time because you have to assemble each piece of each of these drawers and that takes some time. I’d say it took me about two and half hours by myself working at a slow pace. I’m pretty happy with the overall result. There is one drawer that is a bit sticky and a little tough to pull out and push in unlike the other drawers. However, for $200+ I can live with that. It’s very sturdy and quite heavy I may add. Overall I really like this dresser.I knew it wouldn't be extremely easy to assemble because it's a drawer, and it's not extremely hard, but it's not something you can just do really quick. The instructions are pretty good but can take some time to figure out what is what and which small pieces are which. So, 3 stars for that I guess... not great but not horrible. However my biggest issue with the product was that there were a few pieces that came warped (a few wood parts for the inside of the drawers, and one metal roller rod), and that the zinc cams (little metal turning locks to keep screws in place) were brittle and kept breaking because of the warped pieces. I think I broke a total of 6 zinc cams and had to go to the hardware store to get more. I promise I wasn't forcing them or turning them too hard; I think the angle of the slightly warped wood was just too much pressure on them and they snapped. All is said and done now though and the drawer is fine. Some drawers are ever so slightly crooked because of the warped parts though, which doesn't look extremely noticeable but does just enough to bother me lol. But, the drawer does what drawers do...it holds clothes. And the design is nice. For the price it is fine.So far I am happy with this purchase. Very sturdy, clean, and compliments my daughters room very well. The only con… the assembly. Be prepared to spend at least a few hours putting this thing together. By no means it is hard and does not require a construction background but it can take a few hours, especially if you are doing this by yourself and do not have an extra set of hands. If I could go back and do this assembly again I definitely would have someone assist as there are a lot of screws and pieces (especially for the drawers) that need to be repeated over and over 6 identical drawers, each having about 6-8 pieces each, which can be time consuming. I’d also recommend having a power drill for the installation, as a lot of time was spent putting in screws by hand, this could have saved me half the time if I had used power tools. That aside I’m very happy with the product and it was worth the price.Customer service was amazing! I filled out the online form to explain I needed a part replaced (the thick wood for the back had split) and a bottom piece was missing for a drawer and they responded way faster than expected! Both parts came pretty quickly and I assembled the dresser. Note none of the pieces are labeled. This was my third piece from the company having already assembled a night stand and tall dresser so I was used to the picture layout. My advice...unpack the box and mark off each piece on the 3rd page of the manual looking for matching holes in the picture and then lay/stand them up where you are going to assemble based on left/right/center. Trust me... you will save yourself a lot of time and frustration! I have purchased many DIY assembly pieces over the years and have to say this is the strongest furniture I have ever come across. This dresser is meant for a child's room and I have a feeling it will still be around with they hit the teenage years! This is exactly what it's priced to be ... it's a cheap chest of drawers. On the good side...It was fairly easy to put together... lots of pieces though. I have it in the back of my dining room office and plan to load it up with my supplies and some odd cords and adaptors needed for my computer work. I have my modem, router and printer on top and it looks really nice.On the not so good side ...Please note that this piece of furniture stands on the bottom of it's sides. If your floor is uneven or you have even medium pile carpet it could be a real tip-over risk, especially around small children. (Rather ironic for a kids dresser.) I overcame this problem by placing small blocks of wood at each corner and one under the center panel to act as very short legs. This makes it far more stable on my carpeted floors.I strongly recommend that Prepac add legs to this item as soon as possible. Also the drawer bottoms are pressboard so don't count on putting much heavy stuff in them. They'll be ok for things like pens and pencils, computer gadgets, or light clothing, I wouldn't recommend hiding your gold bricks in them however. You can probably make this chest of drawers a fair bit stronger by adding wood glue to all the joints as you build. I normally ad a little stripe as I assemble furniture, to prevent it from eventually becoming wobbly.... so far so good.I like this chest ok... but had I known about the tipping problem I would have bought something else.Such a perfect size for a nursery! Easy to assemble also. We were missing parts when the dresser came in from amazon but Prepac is a Canadian manufacturer and their online form was easy to fill out. They answered within 48hours and have shipped out the missing parts free of charge. Excellent customer serviceI bought this for my son and we had a blast putting it together, together. It is nice and sturdy with easy sliding drawers (We were replacing a dressed made in 1969, the drawer just slid on a piece of wood... splinters!) and definitely looks good. The manufacturer included a touch up pen to deal with scratches and the like, but the finish has been sturdy enough we have not needed it.Although this took my little self FOREVER to put together, it looks amazing in my walk-in closet. It's perfect for smaller spaces. The drawers are a little on the small side but with all six, I managed to fit everything in perfectly. It is a very heavy dresser but worth the small price tag!I purchased this dresser for my nursery, none of the pieces were marked so it was a three hour guessing game of how to put it together. The pictures are not a good representation of what this dresser is actually like. I wish I would have spent a little bit more money and got something nice. The drawers are small and not spacious. I wouldn’t recommend this product for a nursery.
