The assembly wasn't necessarily hard to put together, just very time consuming and a few places where the screw holes didn't line up correctly, I am disappointed that the drawers have no metal drawer supports to keep the drawers from falling out when opened all the way (the Sturdiness could use improving) and the plastic cup drawer handles are really ugly and they cheapen the beauty of this dresser. I changed out the handles for a Nickle plated real drawer handle. However, in all the dresser is a beautiful piece of furniture, I love the cherry finish and I am not disappointed for purchasing this dresser. I would still recommend buying it, It is a great Value for the money!!Great dresser but wouldn't recommend for rowdy childrens room. We purchased 2 of these and the one in mine and my husband's room is in great condition a year later. But the second one I purchased went into my twins room and the drawer on there's is broken from them being way to rough. Aside from that they are nice. They may be complicated assembly for some not experienced in building. There are a lot of negative reviews on this item which is why I am writing a good one. Many people complained of receiving damaged product and I was nervous about this. With inexpensive furniture, it only looks good in perfect condition. Happy to report, my dresser had no dings or damage when it arrived! This was the cheapest dresser I could find that wasn't ugly and I am very happy with my purchase! Yes, the drawer pulls are ugly and plastic, but that's an easy fix and doesn't bother me because they fulfill their purpose (you grab them and pull - astonishing).Update: two years later and still looks great, and even survived a move with very minimal dings. The drawers are a little too shallow for thicker clothing (I began hanging my husband’s pants in the closet instead because so few pairs could even fit), so keep that in mind. Acquired a need for additional drawer space recently so I was very happy to see there was a matching 6-drawer tall dresser available. Ordered that and the set looks wonderful in our bedroom!Great size for the money. No rollers, wood on wood drawer sliders. 8 Drawer's x 5 panels is a lot but the dresser itself was 5ish? pieces and easy to put together. My only gripe is that the handles are made of plastic and I broke one of them tightening it too much. Went and got some metal handles that are identical for about $30. Much better.Husband and I got into a argument trying to put this together. There's allot of pieces so better if you pay extra for the at home assembly. If you do it yourself it takes about 2 hours. It's a nice dresser for kids room. Drawers are small. Doesn't come with metal drawer rails so easy to put the drawers in and out. Cheap wood but it's nice and sturdy. We have it holding our kids 50 inch tv and a small beta fish tank.Product came damaged in some places. Nothing too noticeable but still not something I would be overly pleased with considering value for money. I wish it was a tiny bit bigger, the drawers are just pretty small. But its not horrible. Just had to go through our foldable clothes and decide what we didnt need/want anymore, which is fine! It came fairly quickly and over all it was easy to assemble. Not a bad purchase, it will do for now.It was only one board that had the wrong size cut, What made it real bad, was that it was the middle brace/shelve holder board. It was not off by much, maybe 1/4th of an inch, but made it real hard to put together and look good. With that one bad cut it went from maybe an hour assembly to 2hours, Most of it was making sure that in the end, the shelves would fit and slide right. Was not what I expected. Using for spare bedroom, because drawers are too hard to open and close for my 83 yr old mother.
